Srinagar: The Army today foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir, killing a terrorist in the process. One soldier died while two others were injured in the encounter.
"An infiltration bid was foiled by alert soldiers in Keran sector this morning, resulting in killing of one militant," a defence spokesman said in Srinagar.
He added that a soldier was killed during the encounter while two others sustained injuries.
A search operation is going on in the area, he added.
