A police post in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara area was attacked by terrorists on Monday evening.
An unknown number of terrorists opened fire on the police post in Langate and fled the spot.
There were no immediate reports of any casualties.
The incident comes just a day after Pakistani terrorists attacked a Army base in Uri, in the Baramulla district, killing 18 soldiers.
