Srinagar:
A special police officer was killed when terrorists barged into his house in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district this evening and opened fire.
The special police officer or SPO, Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh, died while he was being taken to a hospital.
"Terrorists fired upon SPO Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh inside his residence at Katsoo in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district," a police official said.
The SPO's wife was also injured in the attack. Local media reports said she was rushed to a hospital in Bijbehara where her condition was said to be critical.
