Thackeray tells Jet Airways to use Marathi
Mumbai: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has trained its guns on the Jet Airways for the second time. The party has accused the airline of excluding Marathi films, newspapers and magazines from its onboard services.

The Jet Airways management is considering the matter seriously and will soon take a decision, said a company representative.

MNS MLA Nitin Sardesai has asked Jet Airways to start offering Marathi films, newspapers and magazines on the planes. They also want the onboard announcements to be in Marathi. "I noticed that films that are offered to the passengers onboard were in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Gujarati but not in Marathi. Even Marathi newspapers and magazines were not available during the flight, which was ridiculous. The company operates its functions from Mumbai, which is the capital of Maharashtra and it cannot neglect Marathi," wrote Sardesai.

In his letter to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jet Airways, the MLA has asked him to take immediate action; failing to do so might lead to the MNS protesting against Jet Airways.
Jet Airways though, have not officially replied to the MLA's letter, but are considering the matter seriously. "Our management is discussing his letter. We will decide on the matter soon," informed company representative.

The MNS in the past had taken a stand against Jet Airways after the company sacked around 800 of its employees.
