It is a big change; when a changes takes place and that is done to make Govt function properly so that all sections of society get representation.
I think it is a positive change and results will show up. New faces have come up and are taking new responsibilities. The new generation should get more responsibilities and we keep repeating that.
It would be my endeavor to see that all states get their due as far as railways is concerned. It should benefit people all over the country. The priority is also to see that safety and cleanliness standards are improved
Priority is to improve the health of railways - both physical and financial health. We have to see where we can cut on expenditure , where we can reduce fares also so that ultimately people are served.

With the cabinet reshuffle out of the way, the next big one is going to the expected reorganisation of the Congress party. Speaking to NDTV after the reshuffle today, Congress president said that the internal changes will "come soon" but didn't put an exact date on it.

With an eye firmly on 2014, the Manmohan Singh government has undertaken as a major cabinet reshuffle. New and young faces, especially, feature prominently in the rejig with several of them getting an elevation.This is Manmohan Singh's third major reshuffle in this term.

The new faces in the union cabinet are former deputy chairperson of the Rajya Sabha K. Rehman Khan, who is from Karnataka, and Chandreswari Kumari Katoch, who hails from Himachal Pradesh but who has been elected to the Lok Sabha from Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
The other elevated cabinet-rank ministers are: Dinsha Patel, Harish Rawat and Ashwani Kumar.

Seven UPA ministers resigned ahead of today's big Cabinet reshuffle; four of them are veteran Congress leaders who say they are headed back to work for the party. That fits in with the ruling party's plan to effect another big exercise soon - an organisational shake-up to invigorate the party before elections. That could start at the top with intense speculation now that Rahul Gandhi will take over a bigger role and could even be appointed the party's Working President.
The 48-year-old is expected to make Cabinet rank today, with talk that he could even be assigned the crucial Information and Broadcasting Ministry that Ambika Soni vacated yesterday.
