New Delhi:
In an exclusive interview to NDTV, BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said that every time Narendra Modi speaks, the rival pick cherry points from his speech.
Following are the highlights of Mr Sinha's interview:- Issues of the people are poverty and mismanagement on the economic front
- By writing that article I am trying to bring the focus on these than the futile debate
- If u look at Narendra Modi - he has raised all these issues. Economy etc.
- The issues which are picked up are the kind if a puppy came under a car
- Opponents are picking these issues
- Opponents of the BJP - whatever they do will strengthen Modi
- We (BJP) should not allow them to turn the agenda from the agenda of the people
- Congress is trying to hide behind the veil. Burqa is a veil
- For two days puppy was the debate then two days burqa
- They will not pick up the substantive issues
- There is certainly a need for the BJP to continue articulating these issues among the people
- Whatever Modi says will become controversy
- Why should he speak less
- I didn't come to the Goa conclave due to reasons. I could have pretended I was not well
- The reason was not Modi
- He is the most popular leader of the BJP in the entire political establishment
- He is proving to be a big assets and under his leadership the BJP will do well
- I will stand by what I said
- (On Advani resignation) Let's concentrate on the real issues
- I don't want to debate peripheral issues
- While Modi leadership will do good to the BJP, I stand by that the BJP should continue focusing on the real issues
