Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar) is asked to join the 'lota party' soon after she gets married to Keshav (Akshay Kumar). Jaya challenged the old societal norms but eventually leaves her husband's home. Thereafter, Keshav starts a battle against open defecation by building toilets. He struggles to change the mindset of his father, who believes that the 'Tulsi' (a sacred plant) and a toilet cannot exist in the same premises.
