Etah, Uttar Pradesh: Thieves broke open an ATM of a public sector bank in Etah and decamped with Rs 5.10 lakh, police said today.
The incident took place on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday when the thieves broke into a Union Bank ATM kiosk.
Police said the thieves used tape to cover the CCTV camera there, adding that no guard was present during the night.
When the guard reported for duty yesterday morning, he found the cash stolen, following which an FIR was lodged by the bank's assistant manager, Tarun Kumar.
