Ghaziabad: Three bogies of Delhi-bound Lucknow Mail on Sunday derailed near Ghaziabad railway station, affecting movement of trains on the Delhi-Howrah route for nearly six hours.
The train left Ghaziabad at 6:40 AM and after moving for about 100 yards toward Delhi, three bogies derailed when the coaches were changing track near Gaushal Phatak, railway sources said.
GRP (Railway Police) Incharge Pankaj Lavania said none was injured in the mishap.
All passengers travelling in the derailed bogies were sent to Delhi by a special train.
The reason behind the derailment was being investigated.
