Delhi: The Congress today dismissed suggestions that its ties with key ally DMK will undergo strain in case of any action against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi in the 2G spectrum case.
"Our (Congress-DMK) relationship is very good, very strong and it will continue," said AICC general secretary in-charge of Tamil Nadu, Ghulam Nabi Azad.
He was asked if "possible arrest" of Kanimozhi will affect the ties between the two parties.
Azad's remarks came on a day when DMK MP Kanimozhi appeared before a special court, responding to summons for her alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum scam and sought bail on grounds of being a woman.
"Our (Congress-DMK) relationship is very good, very strong and it will continue," said AICC general secretary in-charge of Tamil Nadu, Ghulam Nabi Azad.
