Tigress falls into dry well, rescued

Nagpur: The authorities have been able to rescue a Tigress that fell into a dry well in Chameli forest near Nagpur this afternoon.

The big cat was reported to have crashed into the dry well which is not protected by a wall.

Ironically, the forest officials took 14 hours to reach the spot and only three hours to get the big cat out of that well.

The tigress was first tranquilized and then taken out.

The tigress may have strayed from one of the sanctuaries in Amravati or Chandrapur.
