The Delhi High Court on Thursday granted bail to Suresh Kalmadi, MP and former chief of the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee, accused in a corruption case related to the Games last year. His aide VK Verma was also given bail. The court allowed bail to Mr Kalmadi on a personal bond of Rs five lakh and surety of the like amount.
Mr Kalmadi and his alleged involvement in the Commonwealth Games scam have been quite a favourite as far as social media pot shots go. Hence, not surprisingly, Twitter is full of digs at Mr Kalmadi and his bail. Here is our selection of Top 5 tweets.
