A top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander has been arrested by security forces from Kupwara district of north Kashmir, police said today.
Abu Ukasha, also known as Hanzullah, was apprehended by security forces during an operation in Sogam area of Kupwara last evening, a police official said.
He said on Ukasha's disclosure, the security forces launched a search operation in the nearby forests to track down another Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Abu Bakar.
The search operation was still in progress when reports last came in.
Ukasha, a resident of Pakistan, is being questioned for information about the terrorist network in north Kashmir region where he was active for several years now, the official said.
