BJP leaders today met for a strategy session to formulate India's response Uri terror attack.
New Delhi:
Senior ministers and top leaders of the BJP met today for a strategy session to formulate India's response to Sunday's terror attack in Uri, in which 18 soldiers have died.
The meet, in which Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Manohar Parrikar, Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari and BJP chief Amit Shah participated, comes a day ahead of the first meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security.
The last strategy session on Uri took place on Monday, during which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior ministers had decided to diplomatically isolate Pakistan.
It had also been decided to present evidence of Pakistan's complicity in the attack at all international forums if need be.
Later in the day, at the UN Human Rights Council, India said the situation in Kashmir was the result of Pakistani meddling and demanded that the neighbouring country immediately dismantle its terror infrastructure and stop cross-border terrorism.
