Trinamool candidate abuses Buddha
Kolkata:

In West Bengal, the war of words this election hit a new low with a Trinamool candidate abusing chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. In fact the terms used were so bad that the CPI-M has filed a complaint with the election commission and plans to go to court as well.

Part of Mamata Banerjee's inner circle, Kalyan Banerjee is a lawyer and Trinamool's candidate from Sreerampore. On Thursday, while speaking to a Bengali TV channel, he verbally attacked the chief minister. And it has so angered the CPI-M, that it has complained to the Election Commission.

The issue has evoked considerable public debate in Kolkata.

Banerjee claims that since Buddhadeb Bhattacharya is not a candidate, he has not violated any election code. The CPM however plans to take the matter to the courts.
