Burdwan/Kolkata, West Bengal: Unidentified persons allegedly hurled bombs at a Trinamool Congress office at Jamuria in Burdwan district today, the police said.
The doors and windows of the party's Tapsi-II Anchalik office were shattered by the impact of the blast early this morning, the police said.
However, no casualties were reported in the incident as the office was closed then.
TMC leaders have lodged a complaint with Jamuria police in this regard with party leader Monojit Chattopadhyay alleging that it was the handiwork of BJP workers in the area.
The area falls under Asansol Lok Sabha constituency which was won by BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo.
Mrinal Ghosh, a leader of local BJP unit, said that their party had never been behind such activities and it was the result of infighting among two factions of Trinamool Congress.
In a separate incident in Kolkata, fire broke out in a TMC office near Dinabandhu Andrews College on Raja Subodh Mullick Road in Jadavpur last night.
Some documents and furniture were damaged in the fire caused due to a short-circuit, police said.
