The Trinamool Congress is planning to go to court against the CPM's Goutam Deb who, on Saturday, claimed that the Trinamool was using black money to fund its election campaign.
Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee has asked party MP Mukul Roy to file the defamation case today. Mamata had rubbished Goutam Deb's allegations and said it was the CPM that needs to explain its source of funds.
Deb had questioned how Mamata was funding the two helicopters she was using for her campaign. He had also accused the Trinamool of a coupon scandal which was used to raise 33 crore 90 lakh rupees to fund the campaign of the party's 226 candidates.
