Tripura recorded 79.5% voter turnout on Thursday as the state witnessed a three-cornered contest for the 60-member assembly. In 2018, the state recorded 91.4 per cent turnout.
The Election Commission said the assembly polls in Tripura remained "largely violence-free" and that Bru migrant voters were able to cast their votes for the first time in many years.
No complaints have been received so far by the Election Commission demanding repolling, officials said.
The main contestants in the elections were the BJP-IPFT combine, CPI(M)-Congress alliance and the Tipra Motha, a regional party formed by the scion of the northeastern state's former royal family.
Votes will be counted on March 2.

Tripura Election Updates: One Injured In CPI-BJP Clash Outside Polling Station
A person allegedly suffered a leg injury during a clash between suppporters of the ruling BJP and Opposition CPI outside a polling booth in Tripura, amid the ongoing Assembly elections in the state, news agency ANI reported. The alleged took place outside the Kalacherra polling station in Shantirbazaar Assembly constituency in the south Tripura district.
