New Delhi: A Turkish Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Delhi's international airport on Tuesday afternoon after a pilot reported a "bomb threat" scribbled on a bathroom mirror.
No explosive was found on the plane but all passengers are being questioned.
The plane, which was flying from Bangkok to Istanbul, was diverted to Delhi after the pilot reportedly told the Air Traffic Controllers that a message written in lipstick on a mirror in a bathroom warned of a bomb in the cargo.
The plane was then guided to the Delhi airport and it landed safely at round 1.41 pm. It was taken to an isolated bay and 148 passengers were evacuated.
Commandos of the National Security Guard and the police searched the plane and examined every piece of luggage before declaring an all-clear. An emergency meeting of airport, civil aviation and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security officials was held to discuss how to respond to the situation.
