Chandigarh: Two youths were shot dead by unidentified men in separate incidents in Jind and Sonepat districts of Haryana over old enmity, police said today.
In the first incident, a 20-year-old youth identified as Lucky, was shot dead by three bike-borne assailants last evening while he was eating street food in the busy Shiv Chowk market in Jind, police said.
One of the accused thrashed Lucky and fired shots at him. Another accused got down from the bike and also pumped bullets leaving the youth dead, they said.
The shocking incident was captured by the CCTV cameras installed in the market, SHO, Police Station (City), Jind, Nar Singh said today.
One of the accused even flashed his gun after committing the crime.
The SHO said the police had met the family of the victim and they had given names of 3-4 persons who could be behind the incident.
"We have registered a murder case and are hopeful of making early arrests," he added.
In another incident in Gohana in Sonepat district yesterday, a 28-year-old youth was shot dead in his house by some unidentified motorcycle-borne men, police said.
In this case also, old enmity was stated to be the reason behind the crime.
