Union minister Nitin Gadkari has again tested positive for coronavirus. He is showing mild symptoms, the 64-year-old leader said on Tuesday.
Mr Gadkari said he has isolated himself and is under home quarantine. The Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways also requested everyone who had come in contact with him to isolated themselves and get tested for the virus.
Mr Gadkari had tested positive for the virus in September last year too.
Several leaders across the country have tested positive in recent days amid an increasing trend of coronavirus cases driven by the new Omicron variant. Defence minister Rajnath Singh, and the chief ministers of Bihar (Nitish Kumar) and Karnataka (Basavaraj Bommai) announced yesterday that they have tested positive.
