Jaipur:
Amid mounting pressure by ex-servicemen, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore today said the Central government may soon make an announcement on One Rank One Pension.
"We are committed to the ex-servicemen and an announcement for One Rank One Pension may be made soon," Mr Rathore told reporters in Jaipur ahead of Independence Day.
"PM had announced complete support to One Rank One Pension...We have just done 18 months in power, wait and watch a lot of (things) will happen," he said at the party headquarters in Jaipur.
However, he did not divulge any further details, saying the issue should be left in Jaipur only.
Expectations are high among ex-servicemen for an announcement on the issue by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day tomorrow.
