Education Minister Smriti Irani addressing media in New Delhi on Thursday.
New Delhi:
After Aam Aadmi Party held a press conference and leveled charges of corruption against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley related to Delhi and Development Cricket Association, Education Minister Smriti Irani addressed media and termed the AAP charges as a 'blasphemous' campaign.
Here are the highlights:- No substances in the AAP charges.
- The report being waved is not an investigation of the AAP representatives but of the DDCA itself.
- The press conference by the AAP which tries to mount itself on a report not done by them indicated that apolitical hysteria is trying to be created to deflect from the practices of a corrupt officer in the office of Arvind Kejriwal.
- Many in the media might remember that the erstwhile UPA govt had launched an investigation through the aegis of SFIO.
- 21st march 2013 report states: It is observed that Mr Jaitley president of the DDCA, presiding over like a non executive chair person without involvement in day to day affairs of the company
- The SFIO clearly said that there were no allegations against Arun Jaitley.
- The is blatant effort by AAP to shield a corrupt official betrays the principals of Anna Hazare.
- BJP resolutely stands behind Jaitley ji and condemns malicious attempt of AAP to deflect public attention from a corrupt officer.
- It is a blasphemous and preposterous campaign bordering on political hysteria.
