Union Minister Uma Bharti was today discharged from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where she was admitted following complaint of chest pain and uneasiness three days ago.
"Union Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Uma Bharti has been discharged from AIIMS. She was admitted to the hospital on Friday last after complaints of chest pain and uneasiness," the ministry said in a statement.
The 57-year-old minister was admitted to the hospital after she had complained about "chest pain" on Friday.
Doctors treating her had stated that she was admitted after suffering sprain in the back and knee, which they added, may have had caused the chest pain.
"Union Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Uma Bharti has been discharged from AIIMS. She was admitted to the hospital on Friday last after complaints of chest pain and uneasiness," the ministry said in a statement.
