Mumbai: As Mumbai city and the surrounding areas received brief showers this evening, the Met department has forecast unseasonal rains and hailstorms in the central Maharashtra and Marathwada over the next two days.
The districts of Pune, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Dhule, and Nandurbar in central Maharashtra and Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Nanded, Osmanabad, Latur, Parbhani and Hingoli in Marathwada will experience unseasonal rains and hailstorms, it said in a release.
A state government release advised people in rural areas to move livestock and harvested crops to safer places.
