UP ashram trust plans another community meal

UP ashram trust plans another community meal
Allahabad: Two days after the ashram stampede that killed over 60 people, the same ashram trust, headed by Kripalu Maharaj is preparing to holdanother community meal where 10,000 people have been invited inVrindavan. It seems no lessons have been learnt.

Theincident was said to be a result of a series of shocking lapses, butthe probe seems inclined towards a cover up.

An initial report fixes 'no' responsibility for the stampede that killed over 60 people, even as the same ashram trust prepares for another community meal.

The FIR has been filed against unnamed people.

The ashram claims it had submitted a letter to the district administration about the event and crowds were expected. However, the state did not make adequate arrangement to control the crowd.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has now put the onus of providing relief to the Centre.
