After winning 21 seats in the state, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee will meet for the first time in Lucknow on Thursday to take a stock of the party's success in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting will be attended by Congress general secretary and MP from Amethi, Rahul Gandhi, among others.
The 40-member UP coordination committee will discuss matters related to the recently declared drought in the state and the controversial issue of the proposed Bundelkhand development authority, with an eye on the 2012 assembly elections.
The committee will also chalk out the party's strategy and road map in Rahul Gandhi's leadership.
Besides Rahul, Congress in-charge for UP Digvijay Singh, UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi and the five Central Ministers from UP will also be attending the meeting.
