New Delhi/Faizabad:
A teenaged Dalit girl was allegedly abducted from her house in Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh and gang-raped in Delhi by 4 men. According to the police, the girl was abducted on December 15 and was raped by four men in a moving car. She was later dumped at a bus stand, say the police.
After the outrage over the Delhi gang-rape incident, these men returned to Faizabad with the girl and dumped her at a bus stand on Saturday, according to the girl's complaint to the police that was lodged on Monday.
"We are conducting a medical check-up of the girl. We filed an FIR and we will proceed with the case according to the truth," said Dharmendra Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Faizabad.
The girl has also alleged that with the help of a woman from her village, the accused men kidnapped her and took her to Delhi and raped her. She has been booked for kidnapping.
The police have also booked the four men and have launched a manhunt for them.
