Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise -- one of the biggest films to release after theatres opened up in parts of the country following COVID-19 -- was no doubt a resounding success. The film's one-liners and songs were an instant hit with the audience, finding their way into several social media posts and memes. On Monday, weeks after its release, the film is creating a buzz on social media again -- this time thanks to the Uttar Pradesh police force.
The police department has created a video inspired by the movie to share information about the arrest of two wood smugglers. And, the post comes with a warning. The movie Pushpa is set against the backdrop of sandalwood smuggling with the hero leading the motley crew of smugglers.
The clip shared by UP Police begins with a clip of Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, mouthing the lines, "Pushpa. Pushpa Raj. Main jhukega nahi."
In response, the screen flashes with a message from the UP Police that says, "Police sun ke mamu samjha ke kya? UP Police hu mai," a spin on another popular dialogue from the film.
This is followed by a clip of a team of police officers standing with two smugglers they apprehended along with their loot. The video contains a note in Hindi which says that the Saharanpur Police has arrested two criminals with 11050 kg of prohibited wodden logs, estimated to valued around Rs 20 lakh.
In the tweet attached to the video, the department wrote, "Maal milega aur Pushpa bhi milega [We will nab both Pushpa and his smuggled goods]," with the hashtag "Pushing Pushpa Behind Bars."

The video has amassed over 3,69,900 views in less than 24 hours of it being shared on Twitter. Several praised the department's wit and humour in the comments.
