Those who will undergo internship for 6 months will get Rs 2,500 internship.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said the state government will introduce an internship scheme for students of class 10 and 12 as well as those pursuing graduation.

Addressing a job fair organised by the Department of Labour and Employment Exchange at Gorakhpur University, CM Adityanath said, under the scheme, students will be linked to various technical institutes and industries.

"This year we are going to come up with an internship scheme. Each youth who will do internship for 6 months and one year will be given Rs 2,500 as honorarium every month," CM Adityanath said in Gorakhpur.

Of this, Rs 1,500 will be given by the central government and Rs 1,000 by the state government. After the completion of internship, the government will also help he youth in getting jobs and an HR cell will also be created for this," he added.

The Chief Minister also said that the government has decided that 20 per cent girls will be compulsorily recruited in the police department in the state so that they can contribute towards the state's security.

"Our effort is to open an ITI and skill development centre in each tehsil of the state which can give a platform to the youth for their skills," he said.
