Chandigarh: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today urged members of various communities in Haryana to 'come together' in a bid to accelerate the pace of development in the state.

Mr Khattar was addressing 'Pratibha Protsahan Avm Samman Samaroh' organised by Yadav Kalyan Sabha in Haryana's Rewari district today.

Referring to the Yadav community, the chief minister said a platform should be provided to the youths so that they could study well and become a reason of pride for the country.

"Following the path of 'Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek', the members belonging to all communities in Rewari should walk together on the path of development and brotherhood," he said.

Mr Khattar said during his recent tour to the United States and Canada, he saw that foreigners were now expressing interest in investing in India.

"If all people of Haryana together create an environment of healthy competition, NRIs as well as foreigners will also invest here," he said.

Mr Khattar also honoured outstanding performers from various fields on the occasion. They included meritorious students of Classes 10 and 10-plus-two, as well as those selected for ITI, IIM, IAS and IPS.
