New Delhi: Power and Coal Minister Piyush Goyal today had a meeting with US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker to explore collaboration opportunities in the energy, technology sector.
"We are working to collaborate with USA on technology for energy efficiency, smart grids and super critical thermal power plants," Mr Goyal tweeted.
"We are confident that the partnership will yield accelerated results," he said, adding, there is a need for low-cost long-tenor financing to make renewable energy, particularly solar, more viable."
This was the first minister-level interaction and both sides are keen to re-energize our partnership, he added.
