Mumbai: US Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Mumbai late on Tuesday night on the second leg of his ongoing visit to India, an embassy spokesperson said.
He was accompanied by his wife, US Second Lady Jill Biden, their daughter Ashley and son-in-law Howard D Crein.
Shortly after arrival at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, they left by road to their hotel in south Mumbai.
On Wednesday afternoon, Biden will speak on US-India Partnership at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Thereafter, around 1 pm, he will participate in a round-table discussion with the captains of Indian business and industry at Hotel Taj Mahal.
On Thursday, Biden is scheduled to pay a visit to the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B), at Powai in central suburban Mumbai.
During the course of his visit, the Bidens will also visit the new premises of the US Consulate at Bandra-Kurla Complex and interact with the staff there, the spokesperson added.
