Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said that the technology could be "misused".
Lucknow:
Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today cautioned his party leaders and the people to use mobile phones only when it is very "necessary" as the conversation could be tapped and later "misused".
"I don't use the mobile unless it's necessary. Don't use the mobile phone unless you have no other option," Mr Yadav said while addressing book release authored by IAS officer Aradhana Shukla's children.
The SP chief said that the technology could be "misused".
"You don't know whether your conversation is being tapped," he said.
Mr Yadav's statement could have come in backdrop of suspended IPS Amitabh Thakur's allegation that the former threatened him on phone in July.
