Kaushambi:
At least 40 children were injured when a school bus carrying them overturned after colliding with a truck on GT road in Saini area, a senior officer said.
The incident occurred on Friday morning when the bus of Udhav Shyam Inter College overturned after being hit by the truck near Kachwa turn, Superintendent of Police Kripa Shanker Singh said.
He said that 60 children were in the bus at the time of the accident.
The injured have been admitted to the district hospital from where five children having serious injuries were referred to Allahabad for treatment, Singh said, adding that the truck has been impounded.
