Yogi Adityanath interacted with all UP divisional commissioners and senior officers of police zones
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed the officials concerned to ensure strict compliance of the Covid protocol and safety of the Kanwar Yatra of Lord Shiva devotees starting from July 25, according to an official release.
The chief minister while reviewing the preparations and security arrangements for the holy Kanwar Yatra-2021 asked for establishing a communication with the Kanwar sanghs in view of the Covid pandemic and to see to it that unnecessary crowds should not gather and proper caution is taken, the release issued said.
He interacted with all the divisional commissioners of the state and senior officers of police zones through video conference and gave necessary directions to them.
Yogi Adityanath said the month of Shravan is starting from July 25 and in view of this, all preparations should be ensured well in time regarding the Kanwar Yatras to be taken out by the devotees in different districts and through different routes of the state.
"Complete adherence to the Covid protocol should be ensured. There should not be any hesitation regarding the safe and successful operation of Kanwar Yatras," the release quoted him as saying.
He said the festival of Bakrid is also scheduled before the beginning of the month of Shravan, and alertness and caution was necessary in this regard as well.
The Chief Minister stressed the need to pay special attention to cleanliness of rural and urban areas as well as in all Shiv temples, shivalayas, travel routes and also its proper lighting .
He said no electric wires should be found dangling on these routes and traffic arrangements should be made in a better way, according to the release.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials to have complete preparations regarding sensitive places and asked them to take action by establishing coordination and dialogue with religious and voluntary organizations, the release added.
