Lucknow:
Two pistols used in killing Chief Medical Officer (CMO) B P Singh have been recovered and the links of the arrested shooters with Deputy CMO Y S Sachan have been established digitally through their call records, a senior official today said.
The pistols were recovered from three persons - R K Verma, Vinod Sharma and Anand Tiwari - arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) on June 17, Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh told reporters here.
He said Verma was a friend of Sachan on whose direction he hired two shooters to kill the CMO, with whom the Deputy CMO had some enmity due departmental rivalry.
The pistols and shells recovered from the spot of the crime matched the forensic report and call details of the trio from February were analysed and their link with Sachan was digitally established, Singh said.
Besides, location of the three arrested has been established, he said, adding the four voice recordings have also been found to corroborate the fact.
During investigation, the name of a person, Saurabh Khanna, who helped Sachan by giving him money, has also come to the fore, he said.
The trio earlier gave important inputs about the murder of another CMO, Vinod Arya, who was killed on October 27 last year.
Sachan was the main accused in the murder of Singh, who was shot dead by unidentified persons on April 2.
