New Delhi:
Airports Authority of India (AAI) will adopt a few villages in Uttarakhand devastated by recent floods and help rehabilitate the affected communities.
"As a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment, AAI has decided to undertake rehabilitation of communities in a couple of villages which are worst affected by the massive floods in Uttarakhand," the civil aviation ministry said in a statement on Friday.
The ministry said AAI would assist thousands of people in the flood-affected areas to rebuild their shelter and restore their livelihood.
