Dehradun:
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna had a narrow escape today when there was a spark in the high tension wires of a light pole while the Chief Minister's helicopter was passing over it.
The incident happened in Ghansali, in Tehri district. There was, however, no direct contact on the chopper with the pole.
Mr Bahuguna was returning to capital Dehradun after addressing an election rally. As the chopper was flying low, the wires of the light pole reportedly came into contact with each other resulting in the spark due to the air pressure created by the wings of the helicopter.
After a brief stoppage, the Chief Minister again boarded the same chopper and is on his way to the state capital.
