Verdict in the Nithari case is expected on Friday. A two-judge bench of the Allahabad High Court will pronounce its verdict on appeals filed by Moninder Singh Pandher and Surinder Koli.
Both were given a death sentence for murdering and raping 14-year-old Rimpa Haldar, one of the 18 victims in the Nithari killings.
Pandher and Koli were convicted on February 13, 2009, by a CBI court in Ghaziabad and later filed appeals challenging their conviction and death sentence in the High court. Rimpa Haldar was murdered on February 8, 2005.
