New Delhi: The health of VHP patron Ashok Singhal, who was admitted to a Gurgaon hospital in critical condition, has shown some improvement and is stable, a senior official of the organisation said.
VHP leaders who called on him at the hospital also said his condition has taken a 'positive turn' today.
"His health has shown some improvement and is stable. He has been put on external support system and is responding well," VHP international working president Pravin Togadia told PTI.
A statement from VHP general secretary, Champat Rai said, "Last night ventilation started, so oxygen level raised up and BP maintained by medicine, today at about 5 am he opened eyes for a moment, breathing seems to be normal, at present no dialysis, only ventilation."
Meanwhile, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Uma Bharti, besides Haryana Governor and chief minister visited the ailing leader.
Among others who called on Mr Singhal include Sadhvi Ritambhara, besides VHP international president Raghava Reddy, Vinayak Deshpandey, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das and wished him early recovery.
