New Delhi:
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad or VHP today asked the government to "pressure" Bangladesh and Myanmar to ensure the safety of Rohingya Hindus in Rakhine state. The VHP said a delegation will meet the foreign ministers and high commissioners of the two countries and apprise them of the condition of Rohingya Hindus.
"We have already started relief camps for Rohingya Hindus in Myanmar, Bangladesh and India," VHP Joint General Secretary Surendra Kumar Jain said. The VHP also welcomed the government's stand on Rohingya refugees.
According to reports, the Myanmar Army has discovered a mass grave containing the bodies of 28 Hindus, including women and children, in violence-hit Rakhine state. The force has blamed the killings on Muslim Rohingya terrorists.
