US Secretary of State John Kerry today said he was impressed with "palpable entrepreneurial interest" he had seen in the people of Gujarat during his visit to the state and added, "PM Modi made his reputation here in Gujarat. If that can be extrapolated to the rest of India and dealing with all countries, we all benefit."

  • India can't stop functioning even if one house of Parliament takes time to settle down
  • Distribution of poverty without growth is not a solution to India's problem

Vibrant Gujarat Summit: India Bright Spot in Global Economy, Says World Bank
The World Bank today said India can grow at 6.4 per cent in 2015 and accelerate further next year, but cautioned that an enduring "bias" on the basis of caste and other factors can impede its prosperity.
