Congress leader Digvijay Singh has written to the Central Bureau of Investigation or CBI director and shared crucial facts on the Vyapam scam, while pointing out that the report of the 'Truth Lab' was not considered by the central agency for investigation.
"The sequence of events would show that the SIT and STF responsible for proper investigation of the matter turned a blind eye to the material provided by the whistle-blower and the 'Truth Lab Report'. The report was not considered by the investigating agency," he wrote in the letter on Wednesday.
"I expect the CBI to do a fair investigation in this matter. This is the trust reposed by the Supreme Court in this agency. It would be appropriate and proper for the CBI to investigate this part of the scam first as it concerns the commencement of the flawed investigation by the police agencies to protect Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
"We expect all concerned who are guilty, "be it the chief minister and/or officials of the investigating agency", should be taken to task for their nefarious designs to obfuscate justice, for misleading constitutional courts, destroying and tampering with the evidence with the sole intention to save and protect the chief minister," he further wrote to CBI director Anil Kumar Sinha.
