India Votes 2014: Battleground Kerala

According to NDTV's opinion poll, of Kerala's 20 parliamentary seats, Congress-led UDF gets 10, down by six and the Left coalition (LDF) gets the other 10.‎ A month ago, the poll showed 13 for the Congress-led UDF and seven for the Left. So as campaigning progresses, the Left appears to be benefitting.





According to NDTV's opinion poll, Kerala believes Rahul Gandhi would make the best prime minister, a marked departure from results in other parts of the country. 52 percent of Kerala says Mr Gandhi would be the best PM, 22 percent favours Mr Modi and both Arvind Kejriwal and Dr Manmohan Singh got six percent each.

According to NDTV's opinion poll, men prefer the BJP to the Congress. Among women voters, the Congress is the preferred choice.



NDTV's opinion poll shows that the BJP remains strong in urban areas- it is five percent ahead of Congress . In rural areas, the BJP is ahead of Congress by two percent.



 NDTV's opinion poll shows that BJP leads the Congress by 9 percent among Hindu voters; the Congress is ahead among Muslim voters by nearly 30 percent.
