Bihar teen Aditya Sachdeva was shot dead allegedly by a politician's son for overtaking his car.
Gaya:
Five days after his 19-year-old son was shot dead, allegedly by a politician's son in Bihar's Gaya for overtaking, Shyam Sachdeva, father of Aditya, doubts if the common man should even hope for justice.
"We are aam janta (common people), what can we say ", Mr Sachdeva said, speaking for the first time since the killing of his son last week.
On Wednesday, Bihar s Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav had reacted to the case that's made headlines across the country, by stating that if the murder, caused by road rage, exemplifies "jungle raj" or lawlessness as alleged by critics, so does January's deadly attack on the Pathankot air force base, where seven military personnel were killed by Pakistani terrorists.
Under attack from the BJP, which is in the opposition in Bihar, Mr Yadav, 26, said, "I would like to ask the PM - if terrorists attack the most secure air base in India, is that not jungle raj?"
Asked if he felt the comments were insensitive, Aditya's father said, "We are tired of speaking, what else we can say. It is up to the government to decide if they want to give us justice or not."
Rocky Yadav, the 24-year-old son of suspended JDU lawmaker Manorama Devi, was arrested on Monday for the road rage killing. His mother has gone into hiding after an arrest warrant was issued against her over a liquor stash found inside her home.
