NDTV Correspondant:
Key members of Team Anna - Arvind Kejriwal, Shanti Bhushan, Kiran Bedi and Prashant Bhushan - on Thursday, met the parliamentary panel examining the proposed Lokpal Bill.
After the meeting, Prashant Bhushan said "We had a good and positive meeting...We explained the amendments that we are seeking to make bill aligned to the Jan Lokpal bill, like the Uttarakhand bill."
"The progress is satisfactory...We hope to go to the next stage of deliberation," said Abhishek Manu Singhvi, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law and Justice.
Anna Hazare did not attend today's meeting. The 74-year-old Gandhian is expected to arrive in Delhi tomorrow.
Today's meeting is the first between the two sides after Anna threatened to launch another hunger strike if a strong Lokpal Bill is not passed in the Winter Session of Parliament. The month-long session begins on November 21.
