He was speaking at a program organised for the families of drought-affected farmers by Suryoday Pratishthan, run by Indore-based spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj.
"We should create such an atmosphere that farmers would feel that all the people in the country are their kin and they are not alone....we should give them courage," the RSS chief said, referring to farmer suicides in Vidarbha and Marathwada.
During the programme, scholarships were distributed to 10,000 students from drought-affected families.
