We will remain with UPA, says Sharad Pawar

New Delhi:

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar on Friday released the party manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections in Mumbai. Pawar announced that "we will remain with the UPA, we will form government as UPA."

"NCP is committed to bringing together like-minded parties under UPA umbrella," he said, adding "A B Bardhan has made it clear I am not a member of the Third Front...if UPA does not reach magic figure, will advise them to approach secular forces."

"Congress in alliance with different parties in different states, so are we," he said.

Pawar said his party had made an appeal to UPA members to fight the elections together. "After elections all UPA partners will come together," he remarked.

"I plan to return to Bhubaneshwar for a day to address meetings with Naveen Patnaik," he said.
