Weddings rescheduled due to Asif Ali Zardari's Ajmer dargah visit

Ajmer: The impending visit of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari to the holy shrine at Ajmer does not seem to have excited everyone.

The marriages of two young women, which is slated to be solemnised at the famous dargah (shrine) of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, has been rescheduled. The brides told NDTV that their nikah (marriage) was originally scheduled for 4 pm but had to be advanced to 11 am in view of Mr Zardari's visit.

The Pakistan president, his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and other members of the delegation will stay for 35 minutes inside the dargah. The delegation will arrive at Sanganer airport in Jaipur in a special aircraft from where they will leave for Ajmer in helicopters. Four helicopters carrying them will land at the Ghughara helipad at 4.10 pm.
